Future Fibre Technologies Limited (ASX: FFT), a global leader in fibre optic intrusion detection systems, today announced that it has signed a new perimeter security contract valued at $853,000 for the sale of FFT products and services to the New York Power Authority (NYPA).
NYPA will use a combination of FFT Secure Point and FFT Secure Fence systems to monitor the perimeters of 14 sub stations. NYPA is largest state public power organisation in the United States, with 16 generating facilities and over 1,400 circuit-miles of transmission lines.
This latest contract brings the total value of NYPA contracts received by FFT to over $1.5 million.
FFT Chief Executive Rob Broomfield said: “The protection of high value assets and critical infrastructure remains a priority for government and industry around the world. As a result, we are continuing to experience strong interest from the utilities sector for both our perimeter and network security solutions. With this new contract, NYPA will have deployed more than 30 FFT systems to help protect its infrastructure. We look forward our continued relationship with them.”
FFT expects that its FY2015 revenue will continue to be in line with its Prospectus forecast of $17.7 million - an increase of 34.5% over FY2014.
