FFT signs agreement with South American based distributor Minipa

Future Fibre Technologies Limited (ASX: FFT), a global leader in fibre optic intrusion detection systems, today announced that it has signed a distribution agreement with leading South American distributor Minipa.

With 33 technical service centres and more than 750 sales locations across Brazil, Minipa’s distribution network extends to Colombia, Argentina, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay and delivers security solution to a number of different sectors such as Utilities, Transport and Oil and Gas.

Commenting on the agreement, FFT Chief Executive Rob Broomfield said: “Distribution agreements with partners such as Minipa positions FFT to expand into new markets and generate additional revenue from distributors who deal with large numbers of security installers with significant territorial coverage. We anticipate that these partnerships will also assist in smoothing the seasonality of FFT’s sales cycle going forward. FFT will continue to explore complimentary partnership agreements with distributors in key territories beyond North America.”
